Rok Kern offers in-person workshops and online training for education staff, church and mission organisation leaders, non-government organisations, volunteering agencies and individuals.
These sessions will help participants understand global trends in family-based care and the institutionalisation of children, as well as ethical and responsible approaches to volunteering and poverty alleviation.

Capacity Building
Participants gain a deeper understanding of best practice in the fields of family-based care, volunteering, missions, and aid and development.

Skill Development
Participants receive practical support in developing frameworks that are focused on communicating ethically, short-term volunteering, fundraising and advocacy.

Networking and Forums
Join a wider network of people exploring these issues and learn with them through peer-discussions, resource sharing and online community.
Rok Kern is designed to be an integrated package where participants work with us to explore their personal responses to poverty, justice and calling over a 6-12 month period.

Benefits for Our Participants
Using adult learning tools, our workshops engage participants in interactive activities which contextualise global issues and complex problems in a reflective and open environment.
Through our partnerships with global coalitions in the child protection, aid, development and mission communities, our staff work hard to provide participants with the latest research in each of these sectors.
Workshops are facilitated by local Cambodian practitioners and our long-term volunteers.
