My background is in Human Development and Family Studies. I am passionate about the early childhood years and how much one’s life can be altered by what happens in your childhood. That’s why I love what Children in Families do by placing children in loving homes, not orphanages.
I moved to Cambodia for 2 years to learn from Cambodian social workers. I was connected to Children in Families and the Rok Kern project. I was really excited for this new opportunity and to help develop these courses. I believe these courses are a way to spread awareness of the possible harms we create with good intentions and why it’s time we stop trying to clean up our mess, but rather do it right in the first place.
