Rok Kern offers Christian organisations the opportunity to bring their students, staff and congregations on a journey of discovering what it means to love God and love others in their daily lives. It is a journey into deeper discipleship.
Good intentions and calling do not always result in positive outcomes for a community.
Rok Kern helps participants gain a greater understanding of how caring for people experiencing poverty, and who are orphaned or widowed, can be done in healthy ways and in partnership with local leaders around the globe.

Coming as Humble Guests
Learn how different cultures view faith and spirituality, and how history and lived experience shape our values and worldviews. Develop skills to better understand other cultures.

Partnership Opportunities
Learn about how Christian organisations are caring for vulnerable children, the challenges they face and how your community can partner with them in helpful, not harmful, ways.

Faith in Practice
Learn new spiritual disciplines and insights to be equipped to live out Micah 6:8 in your own communities and in partnership with international communities.
Rok Kern is designed to be an integrated package where participants work with us to explore their personal responses to poverty, justice and calling over a 6-12 month period.
Benefits for Our Participants
Our preparation and reflective materials explore biblical principles on how to care for vulnerable people and how to enter another’s culture in respectful and honoring ways. These studies prepare your team for what you will see and learn on your trip and can be used within church discipleship programs so that your whole church is catching the same vision.
Our study tour highlights different models of missions and explores how wholistic models can be used to bring transformational change in communities. We like to think of this trip as an internship where you can learn about mission models and then use them in your local context.
Spend time with Cambodian Christians, organisation leaders and long-term cross-cultural workers who share from their experiences how God has been growing them in how to act justly, seek mercy and walk humbly with God.
