This session is an introduction to the issues surrounding orphanages in Cambodia and what Children in Families is doing in response to that. This workshop will help you understand the history of orphanages in Cambodia, how the government and civil sector have responded and what is being done to help strengthen families at a national and individual level. Our staff will explain the ways that CIF has been, and continues to be, involved in direct social work and systems level change.
This is a great introduction session for groups who are seeking to understand more about these issues or who want to see what can be achieved when local leaders are given the support to care for others within their own communities. For those who are unable to do a full-program, this session is an excellent way to participate in a half-day workshop with our staff.
