During your time on our study tour, you have spent time meeting a wide range of local NGOs who are working to strengthen local families and communities, and to help children to grow up in loving thriving families.
These NGOs are just a few of the many different organisations and charities seeking support that you will meet during your lifetime. How can you know which organisation to support, and how to support them most effectively? This session connects the preparation learning to the learning during the trip. It helps you establish a framework for knowing how to choose ethical and effective organisations to support, and how to create daily practices that reflect the personal growth and knowledge you have received by taking part in our program.

Often teachers and students become passionate about an issue which has impacted them but find it difficult to know how to take the next steps to help. This course aims to equip students and teachers with the skills and support needed to advocate effectively within their local communities or schools once they return home. This framework creates an important foundation for students to grow and engage from as they learn to be culturally competent global citizens.
The Rok Kern team is committed to providing students and teachers with ongoing support when trying to advocate for local NGO’s post study tour.
How can we see justice, generosity, prayerfulness, and caring for the vulnerable and marginalised as important spiritual disciplines? What does it mean to faithfully steward not only our money, but our time and other resources? What passions and interests has God stirred in you throughout our journey together and how can you respond to that? These are some of the questions we explore in this course.
